Here Mike is trying to give the camel a kiss; but camel definitely more interested in food [sorry Mike!].
I can understand why Mike would want to kiss one; they are gorgeous, so soft and placid.
The camel trainers encouraged us to give the camels affection.
Claire was more than happy to give her fair share of tickles.
Both Jarrod and Claire were initially very afraid to ride the camels; but
to their credit they muscled up and really enjoyed the experience.
I have to say it was a lot of fun and will be my most memorable
experience whilst in Uluru.
Although I have not added a picture of Uluru to see it up close for the first time
was wonderful; it is truly majestic.
Mike at The Olgas.
This walk took us around 4 hours to complete; well done Jarrod and Claire.
Claire entertained us all for hours with her wonderfully imaginative stories
[definitely Toppy's genetics showing through here].
It was great to walk in and around these magnificent rock formations; we literally felt like dwarfs.
A quick thank you to everyone who has kept in contact with us; your emails, texts and phone calls
are a wonderful connection with home.
Lots of love.
