Coober Pedy, Uluru and The Olgas - written by Mike 'The Olga' Nicholls
I was told that if you can't say something nice about something don't say anything, so that leads us to Coober Pedy..........................................., well the petrol was actually $2.20 down the road so that price is a positive. Lets just say the place is interesting, very interesting. The peolpe ....... interesting, very interesting. Leaving to head to the breakaways and onto Uluru was very welcome. The Breakaways are very colourful in the morning light and are well worth a visit in the area.
The family just chill'in in the morning glory of Uluru.
Leah got thirsty so we had to visit the water hole off Uluru!!
Speaking of thirst, this poor fella at the camel rides was really dehydrated so Jarrod offered him a light refreshment. His camel was beyond help though !!!!!!!!!!
A view from the Olgas, which we gave names such as Shreik, Helga and Leah, oops hope she doesn't read this!!!!!!!!!
Personelly I found the Olgas fantastic and most impressive. You feel so insignificant in such a great and wonderful place.
ooh, ooh, I forgot to say that I nearly got bitten by a Taipan!!!! After jogging around the park for at least 20km and punching out 100 push ups, Nah!! I was having a midday kip actually and casually walked down to the pool to see the kids and Olga, whoops Leah, when this cheeky bugger slid out from a bush and litterly took a strike at me. Well I just said sugar and walked on!!!!!!!!!!! Nah I said %$#@^&*(&^, and the bloke across from me ran over and said are you all right and I was white as a ghost and probably went very close to soiling my duds too I might add. Anyway he said it was a Taipan and I was very lucky, mmmmm gathered that!!!!!!!!!
Anyway from here we are onto Kings Canyon where apparently there is a mouse plague, mmmmm wonder if Jarrod and I can modifye the mozzy zapper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
